This is a 11"x14" print on 230 gram archival eco-rag paper with a 1 inch border depicting a young woman with long, colorful braids honoring the ribbon and braid style of Michoacan. Symbols of her recalling her roots take shape as flowers, antlers, and a butterfly mandala of magic encircling her like a halo. Life and death are both signified with a copper foil skeleton illuminating her skin.
Original painting was made with graphite, India Ink, watercolor, and gold foil. The final painting was scanned, and all elements are printed on this print as you see here. There is no real-life reflective property in this print.
