Store Is In Hibernation
I am trying a new business model I have not ever been a part of. Startingin December until February 2nd of 2022, I close shop. I’m calling it Hibernation.
As Mother Bear needs time to burrow into their hollow and cuddle with their Cubs, so will I during this winter season. Instead of putting my attention to fulfilling orders and promoting a business, I will be putting my attention to my family and the soul of my art.
For too many years I focused on being productive. In many ways this is what a professional artist must do: push past their personal needs and finish the work. I’m trying something new. I found taking a break from the business side of my art refills my cup. And I want to keep doing that. I want to see if this is sustainable.
I am aware this is peak time for time for small business owners to make a living. I recognize that this is a rare privilege I get to do. My family is ready to follow this method.
I am still creating at my Patreon, but not for the sake of order fulfillment, just for art’s sake. I will create as long as I am able to, always. You can choose to support me there, or I’ll just see you next year in February.
To get a notice when my store opens up again sign up for my mailing list here.
When you can, support your local business, artists, makers, and creators not just now, but all year long. I wish you many blessings as this year turns new.
I’ll see you in the flipside. May you allow yourself renewal. Blessings upon you.
